  Architectural Blog: Another new home by PD Architecture is now on the market on rightmove The dwelling was originally designed as a very traditional brick built dwelling with overhanging oak porch and bay window canopy, heritage timber windows and a pan tile roof.   However, due to a change in circumstances the original developer sold the site with the foundations cast in place, and the new site owner applied a modern twist on the original design with a more minimalistic aesthetic including brilliant white render, blue brick detailing, modern grey windows and roof. Architectural Blog: Planning Approved: New Co-Op in Woodthorpe, Nottingham. We are delighted that our planning application for a new Co-Op in Woodthorpe, (near Arnold) in Nottingham has now been approved.  The planning permission for a 4,000sq.ft. Local Convenience Store, granted by Gedling Borough Council on the 27th February 2023, runs alongside one of our residential development sites and will bring a much needed provision to the local area.  Likewise, the store will also undoubtedly benefit from the passing trade on the busy through route on Arno Vale Road in Woodthorpe.  The news of the planning application had been largely welcomed by the local community, (Source: Facebook Woodthorpe Nottingham Community Group), and provides a great opportunity for the area - although there were many hoops to jump through to secure the eventual planning approval.   So it’s a Thursday again, best day of the week for a #ThrowBackThursday post For this #TBT post we are taking you back to around 2010, and our  Home Extension in Ravenshead .  Designed by PD Architecture this stunning extension transformed a dull 1980’s bungalow into a real countryside retreat. Packed with many eco-features, the design also included for a south facing glazed screen to make the most of the views.  The glazed screen was provided with an overhanging roof and a balcony, which provided shading in the summer months (when the sun is higher) whilst still allowing for maximising solar gains in the winter months when the sun is lower.
