HOME ENERGY BATTERY STORAGE: Recent retro-fit of a #BatteryStorage unit at one of our previous home extension projects with #SolarPV panels. So how does it work? This snapshot is taken at around 10:30am, (on a relatively dull day before the heatwave): The #battery has been part charged already by the #SolarPanels, it’s a time of high demand, (2198 W consumption: working from home and washing machine on). Electricity is being pulled from the Solar Panel Installation and the Battery, (with no electricity being required from the grid). NOTE: Washing machines, kettles, immersion heaters and electric showers in particular take up a high use of electricity in the home. Without the washing machine on, this house has a consumption rate of around 200-350w during daylight hours, (even when working from home).
