Home Energy Battery Storage

Image
HOME ENERGY BATTERY STORAGE:   Recent retro-fit of a #BatteryStorage unit at one of our previous home extension projects with #SolarPV panels.   So how does it work?   This snapshot is taken at around 10:30am, (on a relatively dull day before the heatwave): The #battery has been part charged already by the #SolarPanels, it’s a time of high demand, (2198 W consumption: working from home and washing machine on). Electricity is being pulled from the Solar Panel Installation and the Battery, (with no electricity being required from the grid).   NOTE: Washing machines, kettles, immersion heaters and electric showers in particular take up a high use of electricity in the home.   Without the washing machine on, this house has a consumption rate of around 200-350w during daylight hours, (even when working from home). So generally the Solar Panels (3.8kW) adequately charge the battery, (subject to weather conditions),  whilst also running ...

Solar Panels and Battery Storage

Throwback Thursday #TBT post: On this sunny morning seems appropriate to revisit a solar panel array installed on an extension/home improvement/conversion scheme of ours over 10 years ago.    The system, still benefits from the Feed-in Tariff and has recently had a #BatteryStorage system retro fitted to use even more of the energy generated on-site within the home.    More on our home extension plans and sustainable developments at www.pd-architecture.co.uk/eco-homes/     #PDArchitecture  #ArchitecturalServices #Nottingham #Leicester #Architecture #designed4living #Solar #SolarPV #Green #Eco #Battery #Electricity   PD Architecture . . . #designed4living Architectural Practice in Nottingham   PD Architecture The Design Studio 30 Main Street Lambley Nottingham NG4 4PN Tel:     0115 931 4420 Mob:   07866689962 Email:  info@pd-achitecture.co.uk   Offices also ...
