Home Extension in West Bridgford
PLANNING
APPLICATION SUBMITTED:
Planning
application submitted for a single storey rear extension in West Bridgford,
Nottingham.
Designed by Paul Day BSc (Hons) MCIAT of PD Architecture
the project will create a new Garden Room, a replacement raised decking area
and new landscaping to enable the house and garden areas to work better
together.
The existing home
sits within a flood zone in West Bridgford and sits in a raised position on the
site. To accord with the Environment
Agency requirements for development within a flood zone, the proposed finished
floor level will be no lower than the existing finished floor level of the
property.
The home extension
will be predominantly brick faced, with black joinery. There is however, a white rendered feature
wall to the edge of the raised decking area that will serve to emphasise a
planting bay to the garden edge. The development also provides the opportunity
to re-use the Bulwell Stone wall that is currently hidden under the existing
raised decking area.
